As a result, Jamie got involved with many sexual partners to prove his masculinity. He also got involved in gang activities after being recruited by his brother; this was when he met Maria, his wife. They later migrated to the States. The two have one child Sofia, and they reported being unsuccessful in having more children, and he is ashamed since according to his culture men are supported to have many children.The two have been regularly involved in domestic violence with Jamie accused of having affairs. Jamie admitted that he used drugs in the past but denies any current drug use. However, when police arrived at his place he appeared intoxicated and smelled marijuana. The ethical consideration, in this case, involves maintaining con fidentiality since this may impact the relationship with the client while legal consideration involve reporting to government agencies cases of suspected abuse.Case ConceptualizationChild sexual abuse is a traumatic experience and it may affect a large number of males. It usually results in sexuality confusion and compromised masculine identity (OLeary, Easton Gould, 2015). Based on Jamies past history he meets the diagnostic criteria required for counselling sessions. When he was a child he was sexually assaulted by his uncle and this resulted in identity problems. He got into a lot of fights and engaged with multiple sexual partners to show his manliness. Usually, Sexual abuse plants seeds of inferiority and worthlessness which later shapes the way one think about him or herself and the way the one acts.Childhood sexual abuse may also contribute to substance abuse, distancing behavior. Furthermore, abused men may find it difficult to maintain a close relationship, develop distanc ing behaviors and may also become perpetrators of abuse. Many survivors express fears of not becoming a caring partner and loving caretaker (Turmel Liles, 2015). Jamie is uncaring since he cheats his wife with other women, he fights with his wife in the presence of their child and does not provide for the family.
